I feel like a language of a country is so important. It’s such a connection to the culture.
The Irish language is one I’m familiar with due to my Irish heritage and having lots of relatives speak the language. Also, my wife is a Gaeilgeoir so I’m encouraged by a great teacher.
Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrates the Irish language and culture in Ireland and other countries during the first two weeks of March. To participate I thought I would say yes to going into Gael-Taca, an Irish language café, and speak Irish the entire time (with the only few words I have).
